About Symphony New Brunswick

SNB is a significant employer and a powerful economic driver, attracting people and companies to New Brunswick.  And the return on investment is strong: every dollar spent on art and culture yields multiple ones in spinoff economic activity.

SNB operates the province’s only full-scale, full-season professional symphony orchestra and Camerata New Brunswick, a 20-member professional chamber orchestra.  The Company also hosts the Saint John String Quartet; Ventus Machina, a professional woodwind quintet in Moncton; and Résonance, a chamber music group in Saint John.  Through high-quality educational offerings and performances, innovation and creativity, SNB promotes the awareness and appreciation of symphonic music in an increasingly diverse New Brunswick.

70 Years of Symphony

In celebration of 70 years of Symphony, the Province of New Brunswick has partnered with SNB to create a series of short films that share the organization’s history and the vision.  These films are available on our YouTube channel: Symphony New Brunswick – 70 Years of Symphony.

Symphony New Brunswick Foundation

Symphony New Brunswick Foundation is celebrating 70 years of Symphony with an ambitious fundraising campaign to keep the province’s only full-scale professional symphony orchestra thriving.   We have secured a matching donor who will match the first $70,000 raised during the Orchestra’s 70th season.  The Foundation has ambitious growth objectives to support the creation of additional full-time jobs in the Symphony and sustain the Symphony in our province for many years to come.
